IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC’s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Team Lead, Liquor and Cannabis, the senior-level application support Systems Analyst specializes in activities related to the support, administration, and maintenance of all applications in the Liquor and Cannabis team’s portfolio, ensuring system accessibility and stability for our users and business partners. The analyst also provides coaching and direction to other team members. 

 

As a senior-level Systems Analyst, this position requires a deep level of expertise in all phases and aspects of application management, solution delivery, configuration, and support of complex business systems.  This includes, but not limited to, planning, estimating resources and meeting timelines.

 

The Systems Analyst, either working alone, with vendor resources, or with other AGLC IT support teams (Network, Server, Data Operations, Integration), will be responsible for leading troubleshooting efforts, determining the best method to resolve application issues.  To effectively provide timely issue resolution, they will need to quickly learn the applications, tools, and technologies.  They will also assist in the development of new systems, business processes, and application enhancements, while making sure all applicable IT policies and guidelines are adhered to.

 

Project work is also a core function of the senior-level Systems Analyst role. As part of a project team, the analyst will function as an SME, perform project development work, provide IT oversight, and support QA and UAT efforts.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Minimum of a Degree in a computer science or related discipline and 2 years of experience, preference will be given to individuals who have led projects.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with C# Programming.
  • Experience in designing, development, maintenance and support of ASP.MET MVC web applications.
  • Experience working with MSSQL Server Database.
  • Experience working with Microsoft IIS and/or deploying web applications to Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques within high pressure situations.
  • Able to develop and interpret technical documentation for training and end user procedures.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to work accross all levels of the organization.
