Job Summary
Please Note: This is a casual opportunity for one year with no experience necessary. On the job training will be provided.
As a casual Liquor Agent, you will be partnered with an AGLC Inspector, where your primary responsibility will be to enter licensed cannabis and liquor establishments and attempt to purchase cannabis and liquor to verify establishments are checking identification (ID).
In Alberta, a licensed establishment is required to ask anyone who appears to be under the age of 25 to provide ID when attempting to purchase cannabis or liquor.
While conducting visits, Casual Liquor Agents will be responsible for the collection of sufficient evidence, taking mental notes of the event, followed by the submission of written reports. Agents may also be required to appear at administrative hearings to give evidence.
The position is flexible and will accommodate weekdays, evenings, nights, or weekends.
Travel with Inspectors to licensed liquor and cannabis establishments in both urban and rural Alberta.
Candidates must meet the operational requirement of youthful appearance.
Skills and Abilities
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Please include year of graduation.
- Must reasonably appear under 25 to comply with program requirements.
