Summary

The Collections Administrator is responsible for the timely collection of outstanding accounts receivable and the mitigation of potential monetary losses across AGLC’s Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis business streams. This role ensures accurate collections tracking, management of security requirements, credit evaluations and follow up on NSFs for collections purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collecting outstanding receivables, including insufficient funds from weekly Pre‑Authorized Debits (PAD) for Gaming, Cannabis, and WCLC Lottery.
  • Preparing reconciliations for related GL accounts and requesting invoices for maintenance and repair of VLT and lottery ticket terminals.
  • Maintaining and tracking millions of dollars in collateralized security (Letters of Credit, Cash Deposits, and Bank Guarantees).
  • Conducting initial financial reviews, including credit evaluations, to recommend security levels.
  • Managing time‑sensitive workflows, troubleshooting discrepancies, and communicating with internal teams, retailers, financial institutions, and licensees.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in finance/accounting.
  • Credit review and collections experience is important.
  • Post-secondary diploma/certificate in accounting/finance is an asset.

Knowledge Areas

  • Financial accounting, collections, credit evaluation, accounts receivable.
  • Financial Solutions and ERPs
  • Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook.
