ABOUT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC’s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

JOB SUMMARY:
This is not a “keep-the-lights-on” role. This is a chance to build the data foundation that everything else depends on - applications, platforms, analytics, AI, automation, and decisions that move the needle.
You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, architecture patterns and modern technology, turning complex data landscapes into elegant, scalable solutions.
You will define and evolve the data architecture that underpins business operations, enabling consistent, governed, reusable and well-architected data across the AGLC iGaming Regulatory business and the enterprise.
Lead Through Influence:
- Translate business vision into practical, high‑impact data architecture solutions
- Provide architectural leadership across projects and initiatives
- Communicate complex ideas clearly - whether presenting to executives, business, or analysts
Turn Data Architecture into an Enabler:
- Embed data architecture, data governance, lineage, and quality directly into business case and architecture — not as afterthoughts
- Ensure data solutions meet privacy, security, and regulatory requirements without slowing delivery
- Champion data standards and data dictionaries that make information trusted, reusable, and easy to find
Drive Continuous Evolution:
- Define reference architectures, reusable patterns, and architecture roadmaps
- Identify opportunities to modernize legacy applications and reduce technical debt
- Stay ahead of emerging trends in cloud, analytics, data engineering, and AI
Design the Data Foundation:
- Architect enterprise‑wide data solutions for applications, platforms, analytics to enable digital transformation
- Design and present data domains that bring clarity and consistency to complex data structures and relationships
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or related experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and supporting enterprise data management solutions and practices.
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and tools, with the ability to assess model quality and enforce data standards.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Master Data Management (MDM)
- Strong knowledge and experience with Data Governance concepts and its practical implementation.
- In depth knowledge and experience of data quality principles, practices, tools and methodologies.
- Experience with PowerBI, Tableau software and/or other data visualization and BI tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly with business units.
The following will be considered assets:

- Experience with Informatica Master Data Management
- Experience with architectures and platform designs around AI / ML.
- Certifications related to Data quality, Data governance, Data management
- TOGAF, DAMA Certified Data Professional (CDMP) certification
- Experience with Data observability
