ABOUT INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC’s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

Salary: $86,011.41 - $126,456.47. Please note this salary range includes a modifier. The salary for this position is currently under review as part of AGLC’s broader Non‑Union Compensation review, which is intended to support alignment with market practices. Compensation details for this role may be adjusted following completion of the review.

JOB SUMMARY

As our Data Architect, you'll play a pivotal lead role in shaping the future of our data landscape—helping the organization navigate emerging technologies, establish modern architecture practices, and build capabilities that drive long-term value.
This is an opportunity for a strategic and influential data architecture professional who enjoys operating at both the executive and technical levels. You'll work closely with business leaders, technology teams, and governance bodies to define the direction of AGLC's data ecosystem while providing hands-on architectural leadership for key initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and evolve AGLC's enterprise data architecture strategy, roadmap, and target-state vision.
- Advise senior leaders on data capabilities, emerging technologies, and strategic investment decisions.
- Lead architecture governance through standards, principles, and Architecture Review Board (ARB) processes.
- Design scalable, modern data architecture solutions that support business priorities and future growth.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to build new data capabilities and drive organizational maturity.
- Provide architectural leadership and guidance for cloud, analytics, integration, and data management initiatives.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Minimum of a Degree in Computer Science.
- 4+ years experience in Data Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or a similar senior architecture leadership role.
- Proven success developing data strategies, architecture roadmaps, and future-state operating models.
- Strong executive communication, consulting, and stakeholder influence skills.
- Experience establishing architecture governance, standards, and decision-making frameworks.
- Deep understanding of enterprise data architecture, data integration, information management, and analytics ecosystems.
- Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
- Assets include:
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM).
- Experience leading data modernization or transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices.
