IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC’s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

JOB SUMMARY:

 

We are looking for a Data Quality Architect who is obsessed with data - and even more obsessed with what it is trying to tell us.  This is not a role for someone who sees data quality as checklists, rules, or dashboards alone.

 

This role is for a data storyteller - someone who can trace messy, fragmented data back to its source, uncover the underlying business narrative, and articulate complex data quality challenges in a way that resonates with executives and frontline teams alike.

 

You will design, influence, and champion data quality across the iGaming Regulatory business area as well as the broader enterprise as a strategic capability, translating signal from noise and enabling leaders to trust the story their data is telling. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Data Storytelling & Insight:

    • Analyzes, interprets, develops reports, and provides a compelling narrative on data quality and data health that resonates with executives, data owners, data stewards, and frontline teams.

 

Architecture & Strategy:

    • Define and evolve the enterprise data quality architecture, ensuring alignment with strategy, regulatory obligations, and enterprise data standards.
    • Establish data quality and data observability as a core enterprise capability, embedded within applications, platforms, integration patterns, and analytics ecosystems.
    • Design scalable, sustainable data quality approaches that address root causes, not just symptoms, across the data lifecycle.

 

Partnership with Data Owners & Data Stewards:

    • Partner with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define fitness‑for‑purpose data quality expectations, clarify roles, and ensure business ownership of data quality across domains.
    • Enable effective stewardship at the source by providing guidance, patterns, and architectural support to identify, prioritize, and remediate data quality issues.

 

Data Literacy & Culture:

    • Leads to build knowledge and culture for strong data management, data quality, data literacy.
    • Drives data literacy program to improve data quality, trust, and analytics adoption across business units.

 

 

SKILLS & ABBILITIES:

 

    • Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or related experience.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and supporting enterprise data management solutions and practices.
    • In depth knowledge and experience of data quality architecture and data quality principles, practices, tools, and methodologies.
    • Experience with data profiling, data validation, and data quality rule development.
    • Experience with PowerBI, Tableau software and/or other data visualization and BI tools.
    • Knowledge and experience with Data Governance concepts and its practical implementation.
    • Knowledge and experience with Master Data Management (MDM)
    • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly with business units.

 

The following will be considered assets:

      • Experience with Informatica Data quality and profiling
      • Experience with Data observability
      • Experience with Master data management
      • Certifications related to Data quality, Data governance, Data management
      • TOGAF, DAMA Certified Data Professional (CDMP) certification
