It is responsible for developing Board policy as well as oversees all government relations, media communications, issue management, corporate and social responsibility, FOIP, and strategic communications.

Salary: $74,385.00 - $97,557.62

Do you have experience providing solid advice and support inside and across the organization?
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Communications, the Internal Communications Officer plays an integral role in supporting and implementing corporate internal communications strategies. Working as part of a dynamic communications and corporate marketing team, the role includes writing engaging content for corporate priorities and culture building initiatives, supporting the AGLC intranet strategy and working with internal clients to provide strategic advice on reaching internal audiences through a range of communications tactics. The successful candidate will be a talented writer, interested in creating relevant internal content that impacts the employee journey, while ensuring communications materials meet AGLC’s brand requirements, internal voice/tone and writing style guides.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- A university or college degree in communications, public relations, journalism or a related field, in addition to a minimum of two years of related experience is required.
- Experience in internal communications planning and implementation, user experience and intranet content management systems. SharePoint experience considered strong asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior writing, editing and relationship-building skills.
Note: This position is eligible for our Hybrid work arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home).
This is a temporary, full time postiion until January 31, 2028.
