JOB SUMMARY

As an Investigator in the Due Diligence unit, you will conduct thorough assessments, fact-finding and investigative reviews to support compliance with acts, regulations, policies and standards relevant to AGLC, while making ethical and informed organizational decisions. You will analyze information, engage with stakeholders, prepare investigative reports and contribute to risk-mitigation strategies across the organization.

 

Reporting to the Manager in Due Diligence, this role requires strong judgment, objectivity and a commitment to equitable processes. You will work independently while also partnering with internal teams to ensure investigations are handled professionally, consistently and respectfully.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Conduct fair and impartial due diligence reviews and investigations.
  • Gather, verify and analyze information from multiple sources.
  • Conduct interviews and prepare clear, evidence-based summaries.
  • Identify risks, trends and compliance considerations.
  • Draft high-quality written reports that support decisions and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of investigative practices and frameworks.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Minimum of a post-secondary diploma in law enforcement/investigations or criminology.
  • 5 years of regulatory/investigative experience within an accredited police service or regulatory agency conducting research, reviews or investigative work.
  • Superior interviewing/interrogation skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage sensitive information responsibly.
  • Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities.
  • Professional fraud investigation designation (Certified Forensic Investigator, Certified Fraud Examiner) is considered an asset.
  • Experience with iGaming is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel.
