The Gaming branch is responsible to achieve annual revenue targets through provincially operated gaming activities that align with AGLC's vision of responsible gaming. The branch ensures that Gaming activities in the province are operated with integrity and social responsibility, aligning with Gaming Regulations and Board Policy and deliver on commitments to stakeholders in the province of Alberta.

Gaming activities included Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), Electronic Table Games (ETGs), Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), Lottery and Online Gambling.

JOB SUMMARY

 

Please note: This is a temporary position until July 31, 2026

 

We’re looking for a collaborative, adaptable, and service‑driven professional to join our Gaming Business team as a Lottery Sales & Support Specialist. In this role, you’ll support more than 2,850 lottery retailers across Alberta, helping maintain the integrity, sustainability, and success of the province’s lottery network.

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong relationships with lottery retailers by providing proactive sales support, product ordering, training, coaching, and guidance on AGLC policies and best practices.
  • Monitor retailer performance, optimize product mix and inventory levels, coordinate promotions and product launches, and support site planning, installations, removals, and renovations.
  • Maintain accurate data and records across BIS, Clientele, GEM Intelligence, Viper, and retailer master files, including insurance and documentation requirements for Lottery, VLT, and Casino networks.
  • Respond to retailer inquiries and consumer complaint referrals, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners (including WCLC) to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Support network compliance by interpreting policies and legislative requirements, ensuring retailer applications and documentation are complete, accurate, and aligned with AGLC standards.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
  • Strong administrative accuracy, including data entry and keeping.
  • Ability to interpret policies, guidelines, and basic legal/insurance documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Assets include:
    • Post‑secondary education in Business Administration or a related field.
    • Experience in customer service, call centre environments, or CRM‑based roles.
    • Knowledge of Alberta’s retail sectors (gas, convenience, grocery, pharmacy).
