The salary range for this position is $122,485.00 - $168,417.00 annually. New employees are typically hired between the minimum and midpoint of the range, depending on qualifications, experience, competencies, and internal equity considerations.

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue and Treasury Management, the Manager, Treasury and Collection Management is responsible for AGLC’s cash management strategy. The portfolio consists of forecasting and monitoring cash flow, implementing process efficiencies, improvement initiatives, payment alternatives, and ensuring compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) rules and standards. This position ensures AGLC leverages services offered by financial institutions and facilitates treasury management in accordance with AGLC practices. The manager seeks innovative payment solutions that maximize the benefit to AGLC and cater to the unique needs of the cannabis, liquor and gaming industries and cultivate positive relationships with stakeholders. The position works to reduce the balance of accounts receivable and provides guidance and direction to mitigate financial risk to AGLC. This position also provides leadership and overseeing the various payment streams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Manager, Treasury and Collection Management is responsible for managing and coordinating AGLC’s cash management strategies to ensure cash optimization.
- Develops cash flow forecasts and analyzes cash flow trends and variances to support effective cash management.
- Identify new methodology for cash flow forecasting through systems to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of cash flow forecasting
- Ensuring robust internal controls are in place to safeguard financial resources, maintain records integrity, and comply with policies and regulations.
2. The position is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of productive relationships with service providers.
- Continuously monitoring and reviewing banking costs and service fees to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Maintaining an awareness of the services, benefits and costs of services offered by financial institutions.
- Leveraging banking services to improved cash inflow and management (e.g.: funds concentration, information reporting services, sweep accounts, payment acceptance, etc.)
3. The Manager is responsible for directing initiatives to improve accounts receivable metrics for delinquent payments from the liquor, gaming and cannabis revenue streams.
- Continually reviewing and enhancing systems and processes for credit evaluation.
- Establishing and maintaining Bank Guarantee Letters (BGLs), Cash Deposit and Letters of Credit (LOCs) portfolio.
- Overseeing payment collection as well as managing the new retailer payment setup.
4. The Manager is responsible for continually assessing and capitalizing on opportunities for process improvements to optimize cash inflow, provide better service to stakeholders and mitigate financial credit risk.
- Proactively assessing and implementing alternative payment solutions and ensuring the AGLC is PCI compliant.
- Leveraging automation and cost-effective banking services to grow Cash Management’s capabilities.
- Acting as a subject matter expert and leading key initiatives in Treasury and Collections.
- Continually building team expertise in financial modelling, relevant software, and core processes.
- Ongoing communication and monitoring of cash management policies and procedures, to assure compliance with IFRS and audit standards.
5. As a member of the Finance and Corporate Services management team, the position is responsible for contributing to the success, improvement and efficient operation of the Branch.
- Proactively collaborating with other team members to leverage and integrate resources to improve performance.
- Sharing the responsibility for providing staff with tools, processes and training that enable them to meet the challenges of delivering financial and business services effectively.
- Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to multi-disciplinary teams.
Managing AGLC’s non-OTC Accounts Receivable for all business areas.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Degree in Commerce, Business Administration or related field
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. or Certified Treasury Professional Designation
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive responsibility in a cash management environment
- Treasury management theories, practices and methodologies
- Knowledge of treasury-specific fraud risks and the tools used for detection and mitigation.
- Credit risk evaluation, analysis and mitigation options.
- Banking and payment card industries and associated products, best practices and PCI standards
- Ability to anticipate change and deliver relevant cash management analysis, reporting and forecasting
- Strong consultation, facilitation, mediation and negotiation skills
- Effective project and Change management capabilities
