IT proudly provides the computer systems, security, IT services and governance that support AGLC’s businesses, including the operation & support of mission critical gaming, liquor and corporate systems running on a variety of computing platforms. IT ensures the stability and performance of a Local/Wide Area Network, which supports over 1,200 gaming locations and more than 2,000 computers/tablets, 150 physical and 2,000 virtual servers distributed across six corporate offices, casinos, RECs and bingo halls. IT provides leadership in the use of information technology, data and systems to help the AGLC achieve business goals and objectives.

Job Summary
The Senior Director of IT Operations is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and operations. This role ensures the stability, security, and scalability of IT systems and services, aligning technology initiatives with business goals. The Senior Director leads cross-functional teams, manages vendor relationships, and drives continuous improvement in service delivery, system performance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute IT operational strategies aligned with organizational objectives. Collaborate with the CIO to align IT initiative with AGLC’s business strategy.
- Develop and implement strategic and operational IT plans.
- Lead the modernization of infrastructure, including hybrid multicloud, edge computing, and infrastructure.
- Champion the adoption of emerging technologies to drive innovation and business transformation.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand technology needs and deliver effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Drive automation, standardization, and modernization of IT operations.
Technology & Operations Oversight
- Lead and manage IT operations including infrastructure, network services, data centers, cloud environments, and service desk functions.
- Ensure high availability, performance, and security of all IT systems and services.
- Oversee incident, problem, and change management processes to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
- Ensure the delivery and support of:
- Business applications and operational technologies
- Middleware and integrations
- Cloud-based platforms, hyperscalers and managed services
- Quality assurance and ITSM capabilities
- End-user support, and unified communications
- Server, storage, database, and messaging infrastructure
- Oversee disaster recovery planning and execution.
People & Vendor Management
- Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
- Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, relationship management and performance monitoring.
- Act as an escalation point for personnel and project-related issues.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage IT budgets, forecasts, and resource planning.
- Monitor and mitigate risks associated with IT operations and services.
