JOB SUMMARY

Are you a change practitioner with a strong foundational knowledge of change management principles and methods?  Do you possess coaching and leadership skills; have a strong collaboration and communications mindset? Then this may be the role for you! Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) is experiencing consistent change and is looking to expand the Change Management practice.  

 

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting project teams and divisions/branches within the AGLC by providing change management oversight.  You will ensure that projects and change initiatives meet objectives and intended benefits by increasing employee adoption and proficiency. To achieve this, you will be responsible for developing, documenting and implementing change management plans to support change initiatives.  You will employ appropriate methodologies, as determined by the Manager, Change Management, to aid project teams and business units in assessing stakeholder impacts, the capacity of human resources, training requirements, communication strategies, support and sustainment plans and measuring employee readiness and adoption.

 

Your excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as a major emphasis in this role is placed on client service, teamwork and collaboration.  To be successful, you will have significant related experience with demonstrated strengths in change management, facilitation and coaching, and an understanding of project management methodologies. Proven strengths as a leader and a demonstrated ability to achieve results through others is necessary.  Superior problem solving and strategic thinking are also essential to the role. 

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

•    Minimum of a University Degree in a related field 
•    Minimum of 2 years related experience leading change initiatives
•    Experience with project management coordination & facilitation would be an asset
•    Experience with ERP implementation is considered an asset
•    Certification and/or training in Change Management (i.e.: PROSCI Certification) are considered assets
