JOB SUMMARY

This is a temporary position with a potential end date of February 4, 2022.

 

As a member of a small but mighty Employee Development team you will be responsible to design, develop and implement various HR and Talent Management Programs. With your sound knowledge of human resources best practices, principles and trends and through your interaction with management and staff, you will assist in moving strategic talent management and employee development initiatives forward.  You will also be responsible for the ongoing administration and maintenance of existing programs. 

 

As a functional expert in one or more areas of talent management such as performance management, workforce learning and development, or competency development, this position provides support to effectively implement human resource framework and strategies.

 

As part of a professional team, the Employee Development Consultant works collaboratively with the others in Human Resources to provide an integrated approach that supports all aspects of Human Resources, while meeting the needs of AGLC and its employees.

 

Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis is continually evolving, as such you will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategic employee development initiatives that support effective and leading-edge human resources practices and procedures.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Related University Degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Human Resources Business Partner Environment including experience in the analysis, design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development opportunities for adults
  • Proven history in delivering excellent business results
  • The following are considered assets:
    • CPHR or equivalent designation
    • Experience in training and/or facilitation
    • Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
