JOB SUMMARY
Join AGLC this summer and gain real-world experience in sales, marketing, and account management!
As a Summer Student Lottery Sales Account Representative, you will play a key role in supporting AGLC’s Lottery Sales team by managing relationships with 180–200 retailers in the Calgary region. This hands-on role involves executing sales strategies, promoting Lotto Spot products, and ensuring compliance with AGLC standards. You’ll gain exposure to real-world sales cycles, merchandising, and account development while contributing to initiatives that support a $200M+ annual scratch ticket business.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in achieving lottery revenue targets and operational objectives.
- Support the execution of national and regional lottery programs.
- Conduct retail visits to ensure compliance, merchandising standards, and product placement.
- Educate retailers on AGLC products, promotions, and responsible gaming principles.
- Participate in sales and marketing initiatives, including new game launches.
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers during weekly coaching sessions and team meetings.
Duration: May 4, 2026 – August 24, 2026
Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 remote.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Currently enrolled and returning to Bachelor of Business Administration, Marketing, Sales Management, or related discipline.
- Valid driver’s license, clear abstract, and reliable vehicle.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and web-based applications.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
