- Registered/enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Returning to full-time studies in September for the next academic term.

JOB SUMMARY
Summer Opportunity: Data Analyst in action! Make This the Summer You Dive Into Real Data Work
Curious about how data supports business decisions, analytics and strategy in the real world? As a Data Analyst with AGLC’s Enterprise Architecture & Security team, you’ll get hands-on experience working with real datasets, data quality challenges, reporting requirements and data preparation practices that support analytics and governance across the organization.
You’ll contribute to meaningful projects including data literacy, data quality management and preparing data for analytics use. You’ll work alongside data and BI professionals who will help guide your work, support your development and build your confidence with practical tools and techniques.

What You’ll Do:
- Perform data profiling and cleansing activities to improve data quality
- Create data dictionaries to support data literacy and clarity across teams
- Identify cleansing opportunities and write scripts to transform datasets
- Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development where required
- Prepare datasets for analytics and reporting purposes
- Work with a BI Architect and cross-functional team members to deliver defined data projects

Hybrid position (up to 2 days a week working from home)
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Currently enrolled and returning to a degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, information management, management information system, engineering, or sciences/technology discipline
- Experience with Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data manipulation
- Experience working with structured data or basic scripting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling data
- Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new tools and concepts
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Interest in how data is used to support insights and decision-making
