Curious about how cybersecurity works in a real organization - not just in textbooks or labs? As a Security Analyst with AGLC’s IT security teams, you’ll support both Security Operations and IT Security, Risk & Compliance to help protect systems, review access, improve documentation, and support security awareness initiatives that impact the entire organization.

 

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to compliance reviews, phishing campaigns, access controls, application classification, and email security workflows - while working side-by-side with experienced security professionals. If you’re considering a career in cybersecurity, risk, or security operations, this role offers an invaluable first step.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Review quarantined emails and summarize findings from false positives
  • Support planning and execution of phishing campaigns, including template development and results analysis
  • Conduct access reviews across cloud and M365 platforms to identify stale or inappropriate access
  • Validate contractor and application access to ensure compliance with organizational policies
  • Create and document a non-standard application inventory and related processes
  • Participate in application classification activities by consulting with business owners
  • Review Active Directory terminations and report anomalies
  • Prepare internal documentation for security processes and awareness activities
  • Assist with planning and preparation for Cybersecurity Month
  • Participate in ad-hoc security projects as assigned by IT Security & Security Operations teams

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Currently enrolled and returning to post secondary studies in Cybersecurity, Digital Media & IT, IT Systems Administration, Network Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or Data Privacy & Security
  • Basic understanding of information security fundamentals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
