Summer student candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Registered/enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Returning to full-time studies in September for the next academic term.

JOB SUMMARY
Summer Opportunity: Communication Coordinator in action!
Join our communications team this summer to learn communications, public relations, issues management and media relations from the best!
A typical day in the life:

Collaborate with a team of experienced communicators on various projects to share information and promote AGLC programs, services, policies and initiatives.

Planning and writing content a wide variety of communication materials including; web, articles, briefing documents, press releases, speeches/presentations, newsletters and social media.

Assist with developing and implementing communications plans to support AGLC’s internal and external communications strategies.

Support media monitoring, media relations and issues management activities.

Serve as a reliable team member, building professional relationships and providing sound communications advice to internal clients.
This position requires a high level of confidentiality, tact and diplomacy.

Hybrid office setup. In AGLC’s St. Albert office and home.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Currently enrolled and returning to post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing or journalism.

Excellent writing, creativity skills and knowledge of strategic communication tools and tactics.
