Summer student candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Registered/enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Returning to full-time studies in September for the next academic term.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summer Opportunity: Social Responsibility Representative in action!

Are you ready to make a difference supporting AGLC’s Culture of Moderation with our Social Responsibility branch?

 

A day in the life:

  • Educate Albertans about responsible gaming, liquor, and cannabis use.
  • Dive into Corporate Social Responsibility and its correlation with revenue generation.
  • Support GameSense Advisors in casinos and at community events as they promote responsible gambling practices.
  • Assist Best Bar None staff as they assess safety in bars, pubs, restaurants, and lounges.
  • Assist with daily administration of the Self-Exclusion Program.
  • Be a part of a fast-paced team in a professional environment, working with multiple program areas including marketing and communications.

 

Perks of the Job:

  • Travel within Edmonton and beyond, with potential overnight hotel stays.
  • Hybrid work setup. In office, home, and offsite locations.
  • 7.15 hours per day with a flexible start and end time.
  • Duration: May 5, 2025, until August 29,2025.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Currently enrolled and returning to Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Social Sciences.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Comfortable in an office environment as well as environments that feature gambling and alcohol.
